Beading Divas January/February fundraising partner is Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) non-profit equine rescue organization located in Marana, Arizona. Cherished Tails rescues senior dogs (and a few cats) at high risk of euthanasia in shelters because of age or illness. They give sanctuary until these pets find a forever home, and hospice care for unadoptable animals. So far Cherished Tails has saved over 1000 pets. Meet adoptable dog, Avery:
Avery had a rough start in life. She came to us in August 2021 when she was at risk at a local shelter for being involved in an incident when she was just 4 months old. While Avery was shy, it was clear that she just needed training and stability to develop into a healthy and happy dog. She is still timid with new people but now can walk on a leash, and slowly has become more socialized. Avery does fine in a crate and is housebroken. She would do best in a home with dogs smaller than her. She needs a patient adopter who understands her shyness and is willing to continue to work with her on social and life skills. Avery is spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines, and had ACL surgery to correct a tear, so she’s now healthy.
