Smiling Dog Rescue Saves 60 Shih Tzu puppies and 31 Pitties from Puppy Mills!

Posted in Fundraising

January-February bracelet sales benefit Smiling Dog Rescue. Smiling Dog Rescue is committed to reducing the number of homeless, relinquished, abandoned and needlessly destroyed dogs. They strive to save as many adoptable dogs as possible.

Smiling Dog Rescue is not only a Pit Bull rescue, but works to save any breed of dog in need. They were flabbergasted by the number of abandoned pure bred Shih Tzu’s from a puppy mill in 2020, ages ranging from newborn to 17 years old. 60 sweet Shih Tzu’s were dumped! All of these pups have fabulous homes now.

Another puppy mill in Huachuca City was reported to police by a buyer who noticed deplorable conditions in the home where the dogs were housed. The courts awarded custody of the 31 extremely neglected precious souls to Smiling Dog Rescue. The handsome pup in the Kissing Booth is a Pet VIP Therapy dog named Aristotle (aka Hippo) who was rescued from this puppy mill. Aristotle and three others from this horrific neglect case are now Ambassador Certified Therapy dogs in Tucson. All of the other dogs have been adopted into loving homes.

You can help Smiling Dog Rescue save more deserving dogs by purchasing one-of-a-kind, handcrafted Beading Divas bracelets.

“GO CATS” would make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift or a wonderful surprise for a Wildcat fan!

Cost per bracelet is $20. The bracelets make great gifts any time of year!  The best selection is online via Etsy but in Tucson you can also buy bracelets at Fuchsia Spa in La Encantada Shopping Center, and Silver Sea Jewelry, in the historic 4th Avenue Shopping District. Silver Sea is open Tuesday-Sunday from noon-6pm (masks and social distancing required.)

I have been trying to contact Beading Divas to find out how I can volunteer to make bracelets. No one gets back to me!
