Beading Divas January/February fundraising partner is Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) non-profit equine rescue organization located in Marana, Arizona. Cherished Tails rescues senior dogs (and a few cats) at high risk of euthanasia in shelters because of age or illness. They give sanctuary until these pets find a forever home, and hospice care for unadoptable animals. So far Cherished Tails has saved over 1000 pets. Meet another one of their rescues, Precious:
Precious came to us with some of the worst skin we’ve ever seen. She was diagnosed with a very rare form of ringworm that is going to require several months of intense treatment. Sadly, this type of fungal infection actually gets worse before it gets better, so she is pretty miserable right now. Luckily her foster mom is a trooper and knows that she and this sweet girl will be happy when they get through this together. Precious has likely suffered with this for a VERY long time and if we had not been able to save her, she never would have made it out of the shelter due to the contagious nature of this disease. We are glad we could give Precious a much deserved a second chance!
