No Death Sentence for Cooper, Rescued Marana Horse

Famed horseman, Lanny Leach was a house guest at the rescue and was training horses around the Tucson area.  One day he asked Escalante Springs if they could take in a mustang named Cooper.

Cooper had been rounded up by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and had his right hip injured in the process. His current owner asked Lanny to take Cooper with him to be returned into the wild.

This would have been a death sentence for Cooper — but — Escalante Springs said yes.
