You may remember Tucson-based Smiling Dog Rescue when last year around this same time 29 pit bull pups were seized from a home in a Huachuca City puppy mill. The dogs had no signs of fighting tendencies.
According to the article, Rica Powell, the founder of Smiling Dog Rescue spoke up in court, letting the judge know that their organization was known to be the third largest pit bull rescue group in the world, and that in the last 5 years, they had rescued more than 1,000 pit bulls in the Tucson area.
The dogs were released to Smiling Dog Rescue and as this month progresses we hope to find out what happened to them.
In the meantime, BUY BRACELETS to help raise funds for this worthy group.
