Meet Little Wyatt, a Cold Wet Noses Hospice Foster Dog

Posted in Fundraising

Beading Divas to the Rescue is excited to be fundraising with Tucson Cold Wet Noses (TCWN) during May and June. TCWN is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue and adoption organization. They were founded by a group of local dog lovers whose goal is to rescue dogs from local shelters (PACC, MCACC, PCACC and The Arizona Humane Society) and find them their perfect homes through successful adoptions. The bulk of the dogs they rescue and later adopt out are senior dogs because they have a tougher time finding adoptive homes.

Little Wyatt had a rough start in life, but his senior years (he’s 12) are spent in a calm, quiet environment, without having to share resources with other pets. He faithfully keeps you close, never tiring of following you from room to room.  He seeks out love and affection and “boops” you with his cold, wet nose to say hi or give a kiss in his way. Although Wyatt hasn’t been socialized to be a lap dog, if you sit on the floor and coax him, he’ll stay for a few seconds for a good belly rub. If you took the time to encourage him to stay longer in your lap, he might be convinced eventually.

Wyatt is on multiple medications: Pimobendan for a heart murmur, Benadryl and Apoquel for allergies, Gabapentin, Galliprant and Methocarbamol for arthritis and pain, and Milk Thistle for liver support. Wyatt is a Terrier mix and is one of our Hospice Fosters. He has been with us since 2023 and he’ll stay in his foster home until he is ready for his next journey.
