Hermitage Rescues FeLV+ Kitty Nottingham from Puerto Rico!

Posted in Fundraising

Beading Divas to the Rescue is fundraising with Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter and Sanctuary during March and April. For over 50 years, the Hermitage has been dedicated to the shelter, protection, and care of homeless cats, especially those that are often not considered adoptable by other organizations. Meet Hermitage cat Nottingham:

Nottingham is a Feline Leukemia positive kitty who is 6.5 years old. He came to the Hermitage in January 2025, all the way from Puerto Rico! He was quite shy at first, and some visitors may remember that he hid pretty high up so no one could see him. Some very dedicated staff and volunteers helped Nottingham become more comfortable. Once he realized he was safe, Nottingham started to make friends. Now, he’s a very confident and happy boy!

Nottingham really loves visitors, and he’ll greet you by rolling around on the floor and pushing his head into your hands because he just can’t wait for you to pet him. If you sit down, he might even climb up on your shoulders and rub against your head! He’s also a very playful boy and loves to chase string toys and play with balls on the catio. You’ll fall in love as soon as you meet Nottingham!

“SWEETNESS” awaits you in our Etsy shop!

You can help The Hermitage save more deserving felines like Nottingham by purchasing one-of-a-kind, handcrafted Beading Divas bracelets. Cost per bracelet is $20. Bracelets make great gifts any time of year!

The best selection is online via Etsy but in Tucson you can also buy bracelets at Fuchsia Spa in La Encantada Shopping Center, and Silver Sea Jewelry in the historic 4th Avenue Shopping District (Silver Sea is open Tuesday-Sunday from noon-6pm.)
