Beading Divas to the Rescue is fundraising with Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter and Sanctuary during March and April. For over 50 years, the Hermitage has been dedicated to the shelter, protection, and care of homeless cats, especially those that are often not considered adoptable by other organizations. Meet Nami and Chopper, to Hermitage kitties:
Chopper and his sister Nami came to us as strays when they were kittens. Nami is the shyer of the two. She is very curious about humans but may not be ready for people to get close. She really likes string toys, so they’re a great tool for people to tempt her! Chopper tends to be front and center and often greets visitors as they wander the shelter. We’ve had people ask about adopting him, but he and his sister won’t be parted. Nami watches Chopper interact and that helps her see that humans aren’t so bad. Both of these sweet, beautiful cats have stomatitis, a painful inflammation of mouth tissues in cats. It can affect any part of the oral cavity, including the gums, tongue, cheeks, and roof of the mouth. The Hermitage is currently working to acquire laser equipment to give stomatitis treatments that will help lessen inflammation and increase blood flow, making the cats much more comfortable.

You can help The Hermitage save more deserving felines like Nami and Chopper by purchasing one-of-a-kind, handcrafted Beading Divas bracelets. Cost per bracelet is $20. Bracelets make great gifts any time of year!
The best selection is online via Etsy but in Tucson you can also buy bracelets at Fuchsia Spa in La Encantada Shopping Center, and Silver Sea Jewelry in the historic 4th Avenue Shopping District (Silver Sea is open Tuesday-Sunday from noon-6pm.)
