Beading Divas May-June fundraising partner is HOPE Animal Shelter, Tucson’s first no-kill shelter and sanctuary for dogs and cats. HOPE’s life-saving mission is to reduce the suffering of homeless cats and dogs by providing them a compassionate, enriching environment, appropriate medical care and loving, permanent homes.
Meet Chance, a playful 6-year-old Australia Shepherd mix looking for a calm and loving home. Chance is deaf and would not do well in a home with children. He is easily startled due to his deafness. He needs a little more time to get used to things, but he is so smart it doesn’t hold him back. He shares his room with another dog and they can play for hours. Chance knows all his basic commands through hand signals! When he is inside, Chance wants nothing more than to relax on the sofa and get cuddles and love. He enjoys napping on his own bed or watching the birds through the window. Outside, Chance loves to run around and explore. Playing fetch is his favorite game! He enjoys walks and would love to go on hikes! Chance does get along with other dogs but does need some supervision since he can’t hear certain cues from them.
