My wife Ariel had been going through several rescue animal sites and following several animals in the area. One was Yoda, a rescue dog, who was in extremely poor health with mange, when he was rescued.
I came home from work one day, and my wife asked if we could go ‘look’ at Yoda who was listed as being shown at a local PetSmart. Yoda had been at the store all day the day prior, so I was fairly certain he already had been adopted. I replied, “sure…but we’re not bringing a dog home, yet.” And I told all my family and friends that as well.
We walked into PetSmart…POW! There was Yoda, still available. But I was not moved…yet.
We sat in the room alone with this little dog and were enamored. I texted all my friends with a picture and the caption…”I lost.”
My boss saw the picture and said, “OMG, I almost adopted Yoda yesterday!”
Yoda has been such a blessing to our family. He’s adorable and the perfect fit. I think he thinks so, too! He’s a recently spoiled pet who loves his pajamas, chew toys, the family, and he loves to lay in the sun.
Thank you to Claws and Paws for all you do for the animals you come across. You are a blessing to so many, including myself, my family…which now includes Yoda.
