Foster-based Tucson Bridge Rescue for Dogs has some amazing rescue stories. Here’s one of them:
Lilly, at approximately 4 years old, was found on the streets and taken to PACC where she was diagnosed with not only heartworm but ringworm as well.
Her physical condition suggests she was used as a breeder dog and then dumped on the streets when someone decided they no longer needed her.
This sweet girl was given only 24 hours to be rescued because PACC cannot maintain ringworm dogs for long due to ringworm’s propensity to spread in the shelter environment. Both her heartworm and ringworm conditions have been fully treated, and she is now ready for her forever family.
Had her foster mom not stepped up, she would have been put down at the shelter, and we would have never had the opportunity to discover what a happy girl she is and how she loves everyone – dogs, kids, cats, you name it.
She would love to have a lap to call her own. Lilly is crate-trained, house-trained, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and ready to go to a home that will spoil her rotten.
