For the month of October 2010, Beading Divas to the Rescue are selling bracelets to benefit the Santa Cruz Humane Society.
The photo is Arial, Shar-pei X who had been at the Santa Cruz Humane Society shelter for about two years. Arial finally found a loving home at Petsmart last weekend as the result of transporting animals off site to Tucson for adoption. Her new owner said that she is so ugly, she is cute!
Under Sue Roger’s leadership, there is a renewed focus on finding loving homes for all of the animals, and the shelter’s population has decreased from 70 dogs to 33 dogs in three weeks.
Transporting our animals to Petsmart on Swan/Grant Rd. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays has helped find homes for pets that otherwise would have been doubtful.
Here’s to more “tails with happy endings!”
Bracelets are beautiful beaded one-of-a-kind with easy on/off. Bracelets cost $20 and in Tucson are available at Silver Sea Jewelry & Gifts, 330 N. 4th Avenue, 624-9954 or Dirty Dawgs Dog Wash, 2510 N. Campbell Ave., 777-6045. If you’re not local to Tucson, buy them online via Etsy. Add $3 S&H.
