Tucson cruelty investigation
I have guardian angels

Beading Divas to the Rescue is proud to announce that during the month of February we will be selling bracelets to benefit FAIR – Foundation for Animals at Risk. FAIR is based in Tucson.

Who says dogs don’t have guardian angels? Boo Boo definitely would disagree.

A good Samaritan found him with multiple wounds (suggestive of dog fights), a crudely amputated leg, and extremely underweight. Boo Boo’s angel took him home with no means to take care of him. A second angel found the listing on Craig’s List and took the dog to the veterinarian. She started the wheels turning to find a rescue group willing to take this gentle and sweet guy with all his medical needs.

That was the first of December and Boo Boo has been healing ever since.

Of course the animal cruelty incident was reported and an active investigation is ongoing.

The organization 88 Crime is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons who did this to Boo Boo. He is estimated to be 2 or 3 years old and one of the few lucky ones to have lived through his ordeal.

This determined, sweet dog has exceptional house manners and is happy to be with his foster parents. He loves his foster home and the support he is given. Boo Boo has gained weight, his wounds are healing, and he learned to climb the stairs on three legs to find his fosters.

He is currently unavailable for adoption because of the active investigation but will someday go to his forever home.

Many ask what they can do to help stop animal cruelty. If you witness an act of cruelty or neglect, call 911 from the proximity of the act to report who, what, where, and when. If you find an animal that you think has been involved in an animal abuse or neglect situation, get the animal to medical attention and report what you found. If you want to remain anonymous you can contact 88 Crime or the Animal Cruelty Task Force. They are not set up as an emergency response team and factors may be delayed to investigate.
