Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary
Bella

Cherished Tails Senior Sanctuary received 7-year old Bella after seeing a plea on Craigslist for a senior dog in serious need of medical care.

Bella had a mouthful of rotten teeth and several mammary masses. The lady who posted the plea had recently gotten her “free to a good home” from Craig’s List, and was not prepared or able to provide the care she needed which of course was never disclosed by her original family.

Most likely Bella was used as a backyard breeder dog based on her health conditions. Since coming into rescue Bella has received two surgeries to remove the masses, and a full dental including multiple extractions. After her masses were sent for biopsy, the sad news – was malignant for a low-grade carcinoma.

Despite everything Bella maintains her positive spunky attitude and has such a zest for life. She found a wonderful person that is willing to give her a forever home for whatever time she has left …and will be able to provide for her future medical needs. Her foster family will be sad to see her go as she has brought much joy to their family BUT they are happy she will have a secure life in her new home.

Cherished Tails has a modest Wish List

  • Nutro Ultra Dog Food Tubs (good for the seniors with dental issues or needing meds mixed in)
  • Cesars Dog Food Tubs (a couple of my picky eaters prefer these)
  • Fancy Feast Dry Cat any flavor (great for PACC cats who are picky…makes for easy transition)

You can see what great lengths Cherished Tails goes through for provide for their animals. Consider buying a one-of-a-kind bracelet or two (they make great holiday gifts) or making a direct donation. Tis’ the season to be generous.
