For August, Beading Divas to the Rescue is excited to be fundraising for Tucson Cold Wet Noses. TCWN rescues dogs from Pima (PACC), Maricopa (MACC) and Pinal (PACAC) counties. These dogs are often hospice and elderly, or have medical issues.
Meet Naysa. She is a spayed Chihuahua and estimated to be about 6 years old. Naysa was originally a PACC foster who was found by animal control abandoned in a back yard; she was extremely thin and had numerous health issues, including Valley Fever. She has been with TCWN since November 2015. Naysa has come a long way in the last year; she was a sick, fearful dog and is now a much healthier and confident girl.
Although she has made much progress, she is still reserved around strangers outside of the home, but once her trust is gained, she is a loving companion who wants a lap or blanket to hang out on. Naysa has been through force-free training classes to help her feel less fearful and help with her trust.
Naysa is an example of a foster dog that Tucson Cold Wet Noses will take in and use whatever resources they can to help get her healthy and become a more confident and adoptable dog.
