Tucson Cold Wet Noses goes the extra mile to save a dog

Tucson Cold Wet Noses
Lucky Laila was saved

From Sandi – Cold Wet Noses volunteer

“Layla was a sweet golden mix on the rescue line for kennel cough, of course. She also had obviously had puppies recently and looked very uncomfortable. She got sicker and sicker and wasn’t responding to any meds and on a Saturday I was so sure she wasn’t going to make it that I begged the vet (with CWN approval) to try to do something. I can’t remember the sequence of events exactly but they ended up doing an emergency spay because she had pyometra, an infected uterus which happens sometimes after giving birth.

Turns out she also had pneumonia along with the kennel cough and Valley fever. She was one of our $800 dogs that we thought only had kennel cough. So Layla had a very rough time of it but came through. She still comes to visit for vacations with her roomie Honey. She’s one of the sweetest dogs ever and her new family loves her to pieces!”

This is an example of what Cold Wet Noses does — they save dogs!
